Pathways2Resilience is excited to announce the launch of the Adaptation Finance Innovation Lab (AFIL), a first-of-its-kind facility in Europe dedicated to identifying, developing, and piloting innovative adaptation finance solutions.
The Lab aims to increase regional adaptation finance flows by supporting the formation and development of six cutting-edge financing approaches, spanning both public and private sector financial instruments and business models. Recognising that scaling existing finance alone will not be enough to bridge the adaptation finance gap, the Lab is designed to foster truly new and context-sensitive approaches that complement regions' transformative Climate Resilience Strategies and Investment Plans.
Led by Climate KIC in its role as coordinator of Pathways2Resilience, and delivered in partnership with Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), Paul Watkiss Associates (PWA), LGI Sustainable Innovation, IIASA, GIB, and HEC, AFIL represents a powerful collaboration at the forefront of climate resilience innovation.
The call for proposals is open until 10 April 2026. Read more and apply now to be part of shaping the future of adaptation finance in Europe.
