Mozilla research survey on AI Transparency Best Practices [by Feb 18]

Dear AI Alliance allies & friends,

I am excited to share that I am leading new research at Mozilla to identify best practices for AI transparency among tech builders. The research is designed to help identify what role transparency can play in understanding what particular algorithmic systems are created to do, and how they reach a decision.

If you have experience in techniques, tools, and features to bring more transparency to AI systems, you are the right person to participate in the survey. You will help us understand the builder perspective and support the development of more nuanced recommendations for AI transparency.

The survey—which is anonymous —takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Initial findings from the survey will be released at MozFest in March 2022. The findings will also inform key priorities for Mozilla’s multi-year commitment to AI transparency. I am happy to answer any questions you may have. And please share this survey with your peers.

Thank you for your contribution to a better understanding of meaningful transparency.

Best wishes,

Ramak Molavi
