Europe-LAND project releases v1.3 of Harmonized IACS Database

We're excited to share a major update of our Harmonized IACS Database!

Version 1.3 brings an even stronger and more precise dataset for agricultural, environmental, and policy research across 20 countries in Europe. The best part? It's openly accessible for you to explore:

Since our last update, our team has:
- Expanded coverage to 20 countries
- Added new regions including Bulgaria, Tuscany, and Wallonia
- Extended time series up to 2024–2025 in many areas
- Introduced mixed crop classes like cereal–legume mixtures
- Added missing land-use categories such as sugar cane and agroforestry
- Refined existing classes with more subclasses like greenhouses to differentiate crops or potatoes to differentiate growing seasons
- Checked all translations and classifications, correcting as needed
- Improved geodata quality, removing duplicates and and ensuring unique field IDs

This impactful update is thanks to our incredible partners at Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) and the University of Copenhagen (Københavns Universitet)!
