We are excited to announce another speaker for the upcoming Beyond Borders Breakfast Debate, Marian Ramekers-van Kuijk, Programme Director at EMRIC! To be held on the 15th February 2024, this session will focus on managing disasters and crises in cross-border regions. It complements DG REGIO's vital report: 'Strengthening the Resilience of EU Border Regions.' 

Ms. Marian Ramakers-van Kuijk has almost 25 years of experience in cross-border cooperation for public safety in the EMR. Since June 2015, Marian has served as the President of SENN Secours in the Benelux region. At the same time, she has been the Programme Director at EMRIC in the Maastricht Area, Netherlands, since January 2014, managing collaborations in various critical public safety sectors. She has also been a lecturer on cross-border cooperation at the Maastricht University Medical Centre. Between March 2020 and August 2021, Marian was Project Leader for PANDEMRIC, and from March 2015 to June 2020, she served as the Project Manager for IKIC in Maastricht, focusing on European grant applications for cross-border cooperation in public safety and health care.
