European Commission Study: Survey on the EU legal framework for health data and data driven health technologies

DG CNECT, with the support of PwC EU Services, is conducting a targeted survey to gather practical input on how organisations across Europe access and reuse health data. The survey also looks at how organisations comply with applicable legislation when placing new data-driven digital health technologies on the EU market, such as AI, Virtual Human Twins, Genomics, Synthetic Data and Biotech.

Who should respond?

The survey is open to a wide range of stakeholders working directly with health data, including researchers, innovators, developers, health data infrastructure operators and regulators.

How to participate?

If you can help, please share your insights and practical experiences on health data access and reuse, legal compliance and expectations for legal support by completing the survey here.

The survey takes no more than 20 minutes to complete and will remain open until 22 May 2026. Responses will be treated confidentially and analysed in aggregated form. Please note that you should not provide personal data in responses to open-ended questions.

For information on how the Commission processes personal data in the context of this survey, please consult the attached Privacy Statement.
