Welcome to the Working Group 9 - Promoting SME Access to and Use of Digital Tools!

This Community is part of the larger EU-US Trade and Technology Council Community on Futurium, which is a virtual space for businesses, public authorities, innovators, researchers, civil society, and policymakers to shape the EU and US discussions in the Trade and Technology Council together.

The Trade and Technology Council was set up at the June 2021 EU-US summit and serves as a forum for the European Union and the United States to coordinate approaches to key global trade, economic, and technology issues and to deepen transatlantic trade and economic relations based on shared democratic values.

Trade and Technology Council Working Group 9 is focused on ensuring access to digital tools and technologies for SMEs in both the European and the United States. To do so, a series of online trainings and listening sessions for European and U.S. SMEs in specific areas will be organised throughout 2022.

The first webinar of the series on the topic of “cybersecurity” took place on 25 January 2022.

The next webinar will take place on 8 March 2022 on the topic of “SME Digital Skills and Developing Strategies for Companies”. The session will focus on areas of need for SMEs in expanding their ability to innovate and do business with the adoption of digital tools.

To find out more about our past webinar and not miss any future event, make sure to log in into Futurium or create your Futurium account!
