Urban Mobility Partnership at the EUROCITIES Mobility Forum, 16-18 October 2017, Toulouse, FR

EUROCITIES events represent an important platform to broaden engagement in the Urban Agenda process by reaching out to a broader circle of cities than those active in the Partnerships.

Representatives of the Partnership on Urban Mobility took advantage of this opportunity and presented the Partnership's current activities to the EUROCITIES Mobility Forum on 16 October 2017.

Vanessa Holve (EUROCITIES), Iva Machalova (city of Brno) and Verena Wagner (city of Karlsruhe) led a two-hour workshop. Participants divided into small groups to discuss some of the key focus areas of the Partnership:

  • active modes of transport and use of public space
  • mobility as a service (incl. use of open data)
  • innovation ecosystem (clean vehicles) and governance

The working group discussion generated valuable input concerning obstacles/problems and ideas of action. The workshop results will inform the upcoming Partnership meeting on 25-26 October, during which the partners will further discuss the actions establishing the draft Action Plan. The results of this meeting will be made available on this website.
