The World Intellectual Property Organization closes the public consultation on Artificial Intelligence Policy and Intellectual Property

 

 WIPO has received more than 250 responses to its request for public comment a draft document on Iintellectual Property issues and Artificial Intelligence. And it has compiled a wide range of stakeholders around the world.

What is WIPO?

WIPO is the global forum with regard to services, policies, cooperation and information on intellectual property. Is an agency of the United Nations, self-financed, which has 192 Member States. 

In December 2019, WIPO invited comments on the efforts of the organization to help focus the conversation around to politics Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Intellectual Property (IP). The period for submission of this draft document issued, closed on February 14, 2020.

    Next performance

Now revised document problems taking into account comments received will be prepared. The thematic revised document will be the basis for the second session of the  WIPO IP and IA, to be held in Geneva on 11 and 12May 2020.
