Successful Kick-off of the Cross-Border Data Collection Workshop Series!

On March 18, we hosted the first online workshop of the Cross-Border Data Collection Project, commissioned by DG REGIO and supported by Eurostat. With 43 participants, including representatives from national and regional statistical offices and data users, the session facilitated valuable discussions on cross-border commuter data collection.

✅ Discussion on methodological choices and challenges
Identified key barriers—one of the main challenges highlighted was the lack of resources to produce cross-border data, emphasizing the need for stronger support in this area.
