After the agreement at trilogue level towards the upcoming BRIDGEforEU Regulation, we are now consulted by MS and regions which are reflecting on how to eventually set up “Cross-Border Coordination Points” (CBCP), taking advantage of a Pilot Project, proposed by MEP Sandro Gozi and adopted end of 2024. The pilot project allows the Commission to support MS in the set-up of those CBCP (PP 05 25 01 - Pilot project  - Establishment of cross-border coordination points to facilitate cross-border solutions to administrative and legal barriers).

At this stage we can confirm that the pilot project is under the responsibility of DG-REGIO which is preparing the financing decision allowing to start its implementation. This decision will be submitted to the approval of the College in the coming weeks.
