The GreenInCities project held its second consortium meeting in Cork, hosted by University College Cork and Cork City Council. This in-person gathering marked a key step in advancing the project's mission to foster urban climate regeneration in socially disadvantaged areas. The meeting featured workshops, exchanges, and site visits, with over 30 partners collaborating to refine tools and solutions for inclusive, green urban spaces.
Discussions focused on leader cities' progress, including local interventions in Barcelona, Prato, Nova Gorica, Athens, and Helsinki. The consortium also worked on developing a Theory of Change, aligning Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) strategies with local challenges, and establishing Key Performance Indicators to guide implementation.
The two-day meeting concluded with a tour of Cork's intervention sites, showcasing community-led efforts to enhance urban resilience and well-being. The consortium's work in Cork highlights the project's commitment to sustainable urban development through co-creation and innovation.
