European Parliament resolution of 16 January 2024 on the implementation of territorial development (CPR, Title III, Chapter II) and its application in the European Territorial Agenda 2030 (2023/2048(INI))

On 17 October 2024, the resolution of the European Parliament of 16 January 2024 on the implementation of territorial development and its application in the European Territorial Agenda 2030 was published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

The resolution is of particular importance for cross-border territories, as the European Parliament stresses the importance of cross-border and rural-urban cooperation, calls on Member States to promote bottom-up approaches, such as CLLD and ITI, to cross-border planning and develop different territorial strategies for different EU regions, including cross-border regions.
