The Digital Decade policy programme (DDPP) entered into force on 9 January 2023, kick-starting an important cooperation process. For the first time, the European Commission, European Parliament and Member States agreed on a set of concrete targets and objectives for 2030 and signed a solemn Declaration on Digital Rights and Principles that will guide Europe’s digital transformation. With the DDPP, Europe will become more competitive, autonomous and sustainable. Europe will become a global digital leader.
