Border Temporalities in and Beyond Europe

Following the "Borders in Flux and Border Temporalities in and beyond Europe" 2022 international conference, co-organised by the Transfrontier Euro-Institut Network (TEIN) and the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C2DH), a special issue of the Borders In Globalization journal titled "Border Temporalities in and Beyond Europe" has been published comprising 12 articles developed from papers presented in the conference.

The conference examined the temporal dimension of borders, borderlands, and border regions and the role that time plays in how people view, manage and experience borders. The articles shed light on border temporalities by exploring the relationship between temporalities—in their broadest sense, understood as the way time is experienced and lived—on the one hand, and border practices, border discourses, and border regimes on the other.
