About

What?

The Partnership on Innovative and Responsible Public Procurement aims to push forward the development and implementation of an ambitious procurement strategy as an integrated and supportive management tool. It creates the opportunity for cities and member states to work closely together with European institutions and expert organisations to research and assess how to facilitate more use of innovative and responsible public procurement. Goal is to support innovation, sustainability and solve social, economic and environmental challenges public authorities are dealing with.

Why?

When procurement strategies are well aligned in an overall management strategy, procurement has the potential to contribute as a catalyst at all levels of the multi-level governance in the EU Urban Agenda.

Who?

The Partnership on Innovative and Responsible Public Procurement brings together cities and regions, member states, observers and associations, EU institutions, stakeholders and expert organisations. For specifications please see the Members section.

How?

By establishing Action Teams we have created a better structure to the Partnership’s work. We have created Infographics with 7 actions. These Infographics are translated in 11 languages and can be found in the Library. The E-learning training program can be used to learn how to make use of strategic public procurement goals. Please find the link to our E-learning module under the Library section..
