After our last webinar on Multi-Country Projects, we are happy to invite you to the third webinar of the Digital Decade Futurium Community to explore the important role of regions, cities and local communities in Europe’s Digital Transformation. The webinar will take place on WebEx on Wednesday 16 March, 2022, from 13:00 to 15:00pm CET. Mark this date on your calendar and, when it’s time, click on the link under "Registration URL" at the top of the page.
Do you believe in the co-creation of a European Digital Transformation that results in economic and social benefits for all local communities? Are you the representative of a city, municipality, region, organization, research enterprise, non-profit foundation or just simply a supporter of an inclusive digital Europe? This event will be an opportunity to learn more about the Digital Decade Policy Programme and to exchange ideas on how to get involved in achieving Europe’s digital targets at a local level.
The webinar will be divided into two parts:
- First, our Commission experts will briefly go through the Digital Decade Policy Programme and present ways in which interested stakeholders can get involved to contribute to Europe’s digital transformation. Then we will have keynote speech by a Minister leading her Region’s transformation. Following from this we will show you how the Living-in.EU community, is working on a tool to help measure digital progress at a local level.
- Second, a panel of local representatives and research organisations will exchange thoughts, experiences and best practices of local actions supporting the Digital Decade. The discussions will not only address ways to develop a digital strategy at local level, but also how to implement and cooperate at a local level to reach the Digital Decade targets, for example working with European Digital Innovation Hubs.
The webinar will conclude with a Q&A session. Participants will be invited to post their questions directly on the “Regions, Cities and Local Communities” discussion forum, in order for conversations to continue even after the webinar.
We hope you will make it to the webinar and join our Futurium community to stay in touch.
See you soon,
The Digital Decade Community Team
