Welcome to the Working Group 3 - Secure Supply Chains!

This Community is part of the larger EU-US Trade and Technology Council Community on Futurium, which is a virtual space for businesses, public authorities, innovators, researchers, civil society, and policymakers to shape the EU and US discussions in the Trade and Technology Council together.

The Trade and Technology Council was set up at the June 2021 EU-US summit and serves as a forum for the European Union and the United States to coordinate approaches to key global trade, economic, and technology issues and to deepen transatlantic trade and economic relations based on shared democratic values.

The Secure Supply Chains working group is tasked to focus on advancing EU and US supply chain resilience and security of supply in key sectors for the green and digital transition and for securing the protection of its citizens. It focuses on advancing supply chain resilience in the semiconductors sector, and sectors such as clean energy, pharmaceuticals, and critical materials.

On the EU side, this working group is co-led by the Director for the Americas, Agriculture and Food Safety in DG TRADE, and Director for Strategy and Economic Analysis of DG GROW. The dedicated track on semiconductors is led by the Director for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Industry of DG CONNECT.
