EU eGovernment Action Plan
Public Administration of the 21st century

The Digital Single Market Strategy for Europe announced the launch of an eGovernment Action Plan ('Action Plan') for the period of 2016-2020, setting out the vision, underlying principles and policy priorities.

The Action Plan focuses on some particularly impactful actions that will help accelerate the digital transformation of government through these principles.

All actions of the eGovernment Action Plan 2016-2020 have been completed. Information about their implementation can be found on the Actions Dashboard.
