Directors-General Meeting on Urban Matters (DGUM) endorses two new Partnerships!

During the meeting of the Directors-General responsible for Urban Matters (DGUM) on 13 and 14 November 2018 in Vienna, two new Partnerships have been endorsed. They will deal with the topic of Culture and Cultural Heritage (to be coordinated by Germany and Italy) and Security in Public Spaces (to be coordinated by the City of Nice and the European Forum for Urban Security).

The DG meeting on Urban Matters gave back the final Action Plans of the Partnerships on Housing, Circular Economy, Jobs and Skills in the Local Economy, Urban Mobility, Climate Adaptation, Public Procurement, Sustainable Use of Land and Nature-based Solutions and supported all of them.

With the first cohort of Partnerships that started cooperating in 2016 during the Dutch Council Presidency already - Urban Poverty, Inclusion of Migrants and Refugees, Air Quality, and Housing - finalising the implementation of their actions, the two endorsed Partnerships give new momentum to the Urban Agenda for the EU process. The eight Bratislava and Maltese Partnerships launched in 2016 and 2017, respectively, will continue implementing their Action Plans and will thus inspire and support the new Partnerships in their endeavour.

ll further information on the new Partnerships will be added to the Futurium website in due time. Stay tuned!
