Forest Fires of Summer 2022 - Lessons to Draw from the Cohesion Policy Response

The European Parliament's Committee on Regional Development requested a study to evaluate Cohesion Policy funding and EU mechanisms to ensure wildlife and nature conservation, prevent and tackle forest fires, and secure rapid economic recovery. 

This study, by Lindon PRONTO, was completed on December 2023, and was presented during REGI's meeting on January 23rd, 2024, emphasises the potential synergies of cross-border cooperation in addressing forest fire prevention.
