Join our VALORADA’s Capacity Building Workshops on climate risk data and assessment

VALORADA is pleased to launch its “Capacity Building Programme”!

The first series of two online workshops is on the theme of “Climate risk data and assessment”.

These workshops aim to develop and strengthen the skills, capacities and resources of local and regional authorities, as well as climate service providers, to improve their effectiveness in meeting the challenges of climate change and ensuring the resilience of their communities.

The first workshop, “Data for Climate Risk Reduction and Adaptation”, takes place on November 5th, 2024. Experts from academia, business associations, and local governments will discuss the climate data valorisation framework, engage in practical sessions led by Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon and EARSC, and share success stories from the Harmonia project.

The second workshop, titled “Copernicus Climate Change Services (C3S) Support to Regions,” is scheduled for November 19, 2024. Participants will benefit from practical sessions with experts from the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts and Aerospace Valley, learning how to effectively leverage new data and technologies for climate change monitoring.

These interactive sessions are open to local authorities, regional providers and anyone interested in climate adaptation.
