CESCI has launched the Hungarian EGTC monitor

Nearly one third of the European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC) in the EU have Hungarian members. Consequently, their experiences might be interesting for decision-makers, scholars of border studies, students studying governance, spatial planners and other EGTCs searching partners for projects. The EGTC monitor developed by CESCI aims at giving a comprehensive and updated overview on these experiences.

The online platform contains three modules:

  • the ‘EGTC – the tool’ module gives a comprehensive picture of the EU tool itself: what the tool is, what it can be used for, how it can be established, and the module also makes the most important national and international literature directly available for the users;

  • the ‘EGTC infohub’ module presents the operating Hungarian EGTCs in detail: it provides direct access to the most important strategic documents and publications of certain EGTCs, presents their completed and ongoing projects, and reports the news and events thereof;

  • the ‘EGTC databank’ module provides an insight into the territorial processes in areas covered by certain EGTCs, with geoinformatics support and different statistics indicators.

The monitor is available at the following link: https://egtcmonitor.cesci-net.eu/en/

Very interesting and user-friendly platform. The presentation of your knowledge in this field, provided in the "practical guide" section, is particularly inspiring.

Thanks a lot for sharing and congratulations for this excellent tool!

Another useful and interesting initiative from CESCI, which has been at the forefront of analysing EGTCs since they were firstly established.

A suggesiton to the EC and the CoR: Provide financial support to CESCI to expand their Webgis and Databank tools to all European EGTCs.
