Dear Members of the Industry 5.0 Community of Practice,
Following the Plenary Session in 20 March 2026, we would now like to share with you a final and a summary report we have produced, which provide an overview of the discussions held during the event, including debates on the role of Industry 5.0 in strengthening European competitiveness through human-centricity, sustainability and resilience, progress made to date, and the challenges and opportunities for its wider implementation. The reports also capture the participants’ perspectives on the future of the CoP, including strong support for evolving it into a more impact-driven platform focused on practical implementation, knowledge exchange, peer learning, self-assessment tools and stronger engagement with industry. It is important to mention, that more than 70% of the Plenary Session participants expressed an interest in actively contributing to future CoP activities. In addition, the reports summarise lessons learned from five Horizon Europe Industry 5.0 projects and identify priorities for future action, including the development of practical implementation and self-assessment tools, stronger evidence on the business case for Industry 5.0, and a future work programme for the Community.
