Attached the draft agenda of the First Workshop of the AI HLEG which will take place on 20 September 2018 in Brussels.
The workshop's aim is the gathering of useful input for the Working Groups’ deliverables, through in-depth discussions on a number of relevant themes.
The event will be recorded and subsequently made available online, to ensure that interested members of the European AI Alliance can follow the discussions.

Dear Tomas,
Unfortunately, due to space constraints, it will not be possible to attend the workshop physically. We are exploring the possibility of accommodating the presence of interested members of the Alliance at future workshops, and will keep you posted on this. However, precisely for this reason we will make available a recording of the workshop, so that all members of the European AI Alliance can follow the outcomes thereafter. We will post the link of this recording on the online platform after the workshop took place, and will be happy to receive any feedback thereon.
In addition, following the blogpost of the Chair of the AI HLEG Pekka Ala-Pietilä, we are seeking input on the different topics that will be discussed at the Workshop. Input on these topics can be provided here by the 13th of September:
- Trusted (i.e. responsible and safe) AI
- Transparency and Accountability
- Industry and Ecosystem Uptake of AI
- AI Infrastructure and Enablers
- Use-Cases for the Guidelines
This input will be taken into consideration during the workshop’s discussions, as well as in the drafting process of the deliverables.
