Dear Members of the European AI Alliance,

We are pleased to announce the second edition of the European AI Alliance Assembly, planned for the 9th of October 2020.

Celebrating two years after the launch of our forum and counting several important milestones in the implementation of the European AI Strategy, experts, policymakers and AI stakeholders will meet in an online event, to discuss the next steps in building a European Ecosystem of Excellence and Trust.

Introduced at a high level by of Commissioner Thierry Breton and representatives of the German Presidency of the European Council, the event will feature live panels, inspirational speeches and interactive workshops. Some of the main topics to be discussed are the following:

1) The results of the Consultation on the AI White Paper launched by the European Commission from 19 February 2020 to 14 June 2020 and next policy and legislation steps;

2) The High-Level Expert Group on AI (AI HLEG) will present its finalised deliverables;

3) The future projections on the European AI Alliance as a multi stakeholder forum that reflects wider societal, economic and technical aspects of AI to the European policymaking process.

Help us shape the second European AI Alliance Assembly!

The European AI Alliance is the main stakeholder forum on AI in Europe and key to the European Commission’s policymaking process on AI. The members of the AI Alliance will have the possibility to shape the topics to be discussed during the event by submitting their questions to panellists and workshop representatives.
