Workshop Theme: 

Businesses evolve in an animated environment operating in local, regional, and international context. It is therefore natural to adopt animation tools and techniques to visualize changing environments. Furthermore, Animation Businesses provide useful paradigms of networked production and distribution environments that may inspire and influence modern business models at large.The Workshop “Animation in Business/Business in Animation” investigates Animation Business paradigms by proposing to the participants a complete learning path from education, training and research to creative production and distribution environments.

Workshop Details:

The Workshop “Animation in Business, Business in Animation'' will also serve as an in-vivo laboratory for the usability and evaluation of an early prototype of the European Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet. The Workshop will essentially make use of the emerging European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDIW) technologies to provide seamless access to the Workshop material and services -- with support from the European Wallet Consortium (EWC) and the EBSI Early Adopters Wave 3 Programme. 

Specifically, the Workshop participants will be able to 

1. Gain access to the Workshop materials such as presentations, videos, documents to read etc. (via the Workshop Learning Management System)

2. Book a ferry ticket (Syros to PIraeus via Cyclades Fast Ferries) 

by receiving, storing and presenting after proving ownership of an Electronic Academic Credential named “Workshop Ticket”, attesting to the participant’s registration to the Workshop and containing the identification information of them.

The Workshop Ticket will be stored in the participants' mobile phones, using a secure mobile app, Gataca, which follows closely the specifications and  reference implementations of the EUDI Wallet. In detail, the Workshop Ticket is implemented as an Electronic Attribute Attestation (EAA):

• compliant to the specifications of the EBSI project (Early Adopters Program Wave 3 | EBSI EA Wave 3)
• adhering to the recommendations of the EUDI ARF and
• following the interoperability profiles defined by the EWC project.

(*) Members of the ERUA Community will present their ERUA-iD to obtain a Workshop Ticket.

Presentation of the Workshop Ticket Electronic Academic Credential (EAA) is done using the OIDC4VP specification, and its issuance will be eventually implemented over the OIDC4VCI specification. These specifications are completely compliant with the EUDI Wallet ARF, EBSI guidelines and EWC recommendations. 

Additionally, the  “Animation in Business, Business in Animation”  Workshop will enable the members of the EWC consortium co-organizing the event (UAegean and GEN Digital) to collect and analyze valuable feedback from real users (with a diverse background, academics, animation industry practitioners, students) in a production environment

• with respect to the use of the EUDI Wallet as a means of authentication

• targeted to the overall flows regarding the issuance, storage and remote verification of EAA using the EUDI Wallet prototype
