7th Urban Poverty Partnership meeting in Łódź, PL, 21-22 September 2017

The Urban Poverty Partnership, one of the pilot Partnerships launched during the Dutch presidency in 2016, met for the seventh time on 21 and 22 September. The meeting was hosted by one of the Partnership's members, the city of Łódź (Poland).

What was discussed?

On the agenda for the meeting were discussions on the results of the Public Feedback and inter-service consultation to the Partnership's Action Plan. These were all systematically discussed and the manner in which they would be addressed in the Action Plan was decided upon by the partners. Another agenda item issue was the implementation and monitoring of the actions, following the finalisation of the Action Plan.

The partners also agreed on the structure of the workshop that will be delivered by the Urban Poverty Partnership at the CITIES Forum in Rotterdam on 27-28 November 2017. More information on the CITIES Forum, including registration, will be available shortly at this website.

What’s next?

A few days after the seventh Partnership meeting, the coordinators presented the Action Plan at the UDG Meeting on 26 September. They are now working towards the next high-level political meeting on urban issues of the current EU presidency, the DGUM meeting in October. Next steps also include the revisions of the Action Plan, the organisation of the CITIES Forum workshop and communication around the Action Plan.
