I agree with Barbara.  But I think it is useful to know that in most countries where rental is a tenure of choice not only tenant protection is high but also evictions procedures are effective and swift.  Key is to find right balance between rights and interest of tenant and landlord.  Complicated eviction procedure tend to scare potential landlords.
