Join the debate “What future for European Robotics?”

The AI Watch team would like to invite you to join us at the “What future for European Robotics?” conference on 27-29 January at 15.00-18.00.

This three half-day science for policy conference brings together high level speakers and panellists including Vice-President Šefčovič and Commissioner Gabriel, Portuguese Minister Heitor, Spanish State Secretary Artigas, several Directors-Generals of the Commission,  scientists from MIT, Sorbonne, OECD, Universities of Ghent, Utrecht and Berlin, as well as representatives of industry, companies and venture capitalist. 

Programme overview

The first day the Keynote and panel discussions will focus on the economic impact of robotisation on employment, productivity and competitiveness, and on robotics in support of the EU recovery.

Commissioner Gabriel will give her keynote of the second day on impact of robots on society followed by a panel discussion. The  second panel discussion will tackle the human-robot interaction and robotics in education. 

The final day will start with a speech on the A.I. and foresight by VP Šefčovič, and assemble four key policy DGs from the Commission for a round-table on the regulatory framework needed for EU robotics.
