AI regulation should use Human Rights framework

Under the auspices of European Conference of AI (now digital) a special workshop will be held under the title "Advancing Towards the Sustainable Development Goals: AI for a Fair, Just and Equitable World".

A group of practitioners and researchers from different fields related to Artificial Intelligence are making a proposal to expand and improve the current approach of the EC White Paper on Artificial Intelligence, showing a European Commitment to the UN 2030 agenda, universalizing the benefits of AI and basing UE regulation under the well established framework of human rights, moving away from "competitiveness for companies and trustworthiness for consumers" discourse.

You can see (and sign) the proposal here.
