On the 23 of July 2020, the High-Level Expert Group on Artificial Intelligence (AI HLEG) presented their Sectoral Recommendations on Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The report represents the outcome of the subsequent steps that the AI HLEG took to survey how to best enable a thriving European environment for Trustworthy AI. It directly builds on our work on the Policy and Investment Recommendations for Trustworthy AI published by the group in 2019.

Given AI’s context specificity, the group explored the impacts and enablers through a sectoral lense. The report focuses on three sectors, strongly believed to be of crucial importance to the sustained well-being of society and Europe's competitiveness. These sectors are: (i) the Public Sector; (ii) Healthcare; and (iii) Manufacturing and Internet of Things (IoT).
