BRING CONNECTIVITY AND SECURITY TO UKRAINE AND DISPLACED UKRAINIAN PEOPLE

• Cisco recently provided networking equipment for free to the Ukrainian government for over $5M USD: one hundred fully-fledged, enterprise-class, secure wireless networks, including firewalls, switches, access points, cameras, and accessories via the French government.
• Cisco Crisis Response (CCR) is working closely with UNHCR (UN Refugee Agency), the UN's Emergency Telecommunications Cluster (ETC), NetHope, and other humanitarian partners to plan response efforts to address needs for cybersecurity and connectivity solutions. To date, CCR has supported Wi-Fi installation for 25 sites in Moldova, Romania, Poland and Ukraine.

OUR PLEDGE FOR MORE CONNECTIVITY:

• Further support connectivity for humanitarian aid organizations and refugees in the region to reach at least 40 sites.

• Enlarge our partnership with Deutsche Bahn to deploy more Medi-Buses (fully connected mobile clinics) to refugee locations in Germany, and potentially other countries.

CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR CYBERSECURITY

• Cisco has been offering Cloud Security products for free, such as Duo, Umbrella, and Secure EndPoint to non-restricted Ukrainian organizations.
• We are accelerating the work our Talos team (Threat Intelligence) has been doing to help protect organizations in Ukraine from cyberattacks, safeguard the privacy of institutions in Ukraine and the region, and help the Ukrainian government secure its infrastructure.

OUR PLEDGE FOR CYBERSECURITY:

• Deploy further cyber support from within our global Country Digital Acceleration program to support countries bordering Ukraine with enhanced Cyber Security services at a national level.

SKILLS TRAINING FOR UKRAINIAN REFUGEES

OUR PLEDGE FOR SKILLS:

• Deploy specific projects leveraging Cisco’s NetAcad program to help displaced Ukrainian, in particular high school students and women, enhance their technology skills. We will offer online education to provide digital skills in cybersecurity and programming (python).
• Ukrainian refugees will be able to learn new skills starting this autumn, after an initial pilot phase with small number of participants, while the platform translation (www.skillsforall.com) into Ukrainian is in progress and we design the program to meet the demand and address the real needs of displaced Ukrainians. This massive digital skills development program will support employability, addressing thousands Ukrainian refugees with digital skills with the Cisco Networking Academy.

DONATIONS

Cisco has donated over $6.9M USD in Cash Contributions

• Cisco and Cisco Foundation donated $2.7M USD in cash grants to NGOs in Poland, Ukraine, Romania, Slovakia; UN HCR, UN World Food Programme; International NGOs

• Cisco employees, the Cisco Foundation and Cisco Corporate; as well as non-Cisco employees, have contributed $4.2M+ USD to the dedicated Cisco Ukraine Humanitarian Assistance Fund so far (June 3rd data).
