New Digital Index of Hesse

Hesse is the first German state to have its own digital index drawn up to provide measurable evidence of the impact of its digital strategy. The digital index created by Fraunhofer FOKUS and its Competence Center Public IT (ÖFIT) not only examined the digital transformation in key areas of action of Hessen's digitization measures, but also surveyed citizens, municipalities and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Hesse. In the next Digital Index will be published in two years, and will focus on AI and the impact of the Hessian AI agenda.

Thank you Claudia for your contribution! I would be interesting in knowing more about how you surveyed citizens, municipalities and small/medium-sizes enterprises in Hesse. Could you tell us more about that, please?

Many thanks and good work!

Lavinia

Dear Lavinia,

the survey was conducted in October 2021. In total, more than 1000 citizens, more than 1.400 enterprises and more than 230 municipalities took part. On top of this, already existing statistcs have been analysed. The study author is Fraunhofer Fokus. More details here

Best regards

Claudia
