Digital public services

Europe must harness digitalisation to drive a paradigm change in how citizens and businesses interact with public administrations and democratic institutions. Public services should be fully accessible online, including for persons with disabilities, and benefit from easy-to-use tools with high security and privacy standards. Government as a Platform, as a new holistic way of building digital public services, should ensure interoperability across all levels of government. As part of the Digital Compass, it is our proposed level of ambition that by 2030:

  • All key public services are available online
  • All citizens have access to their e-medical records
  • 80% of citizens use a digital ID solution
