Cross-border employment has a lot of potential within the European Union. It creates jobs by facilitating enterprises’ access to a larger pool of workers on both sides of a border and by allowing workers to remain in their home regions while having access to jobs close by, on the other side of the border. However, this is not always easy, as there are still many obstacles (e.g. information on job opportunities, labour law, social security, pension rights, etc.). To discuss these issues, the European Commission is organising a conference on “Vibrant Cross-Border Labour Markets”.
The European Commission invites you to participate on-site in this conference, which will be held on 18 (afternoon) and 19 (morning) January 2023 at the Charlemagne building in Brussels.
