We are pleased to introduce Alex Durand, who will join the 30th Beyond Borders: Breakfast Debate to speak about the OECD's IMPACT initiative and cross-border CLLD.
Policy Analyst at the OECD's Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities, Alexis supports national and subnational governments in reducing territorial inequalities, improving well-being, and achieving their territorial development goals. Since joining the OECD in 2018, she has also worked across its Public Governance Directorate and Economics Department, giving her a broad view of how policy shapes regions and communities at every level of government.
Her path into regional policy grew out of an earlier career in environmental policy, backed by a Master's in Environmental Policy and Energy from Sciences Po and a Bachelor's in Environmental Studies from Brown University. That grounding gives her a distinctive lens on the links between sustainability, well-being, and territorial development.
At the debate, Alexis will present the OECD's IMPACT initiative, sharing insights from the 30 cross-border CLLD pilots and the work ahead for community-led territorial development.
