Legal and administrative obstacles can have a big impact on the transboundary cooperation of Protected Areas and of communities living and working on the borders. In this webinar, organized by EUROPARC in collaboration with the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR), we will present an European precious instrument to face and overcome these barriers.

This webinar is directed to land, marine and river local and regional administrations and Parks’ managers, concerned by cross-border and international relationships with neighbour countries. It is organized in the framework of the EUROPARC Transboundary Parks Programme “Following Nature’s Design”. The programme seeks to support Protected Areas in a process of mutual understanding, often between countries where history may have created mutual distrust, and permit greater cooperative management. To date, more than 29 European Protected Areas have been successfully certified as 13 Transboundary Areas: they compose the network TransParcNet
