EU-U.S. Trade and Technology Council WG 9 Webinar on Cybersecurity

This webinar, organised in the framework of Working Group 9 of the EU-U.S. Trade and Technology Council, addresses small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the Atlantic that would like to be better understand cyber risks and protect themselves from cyber-attacks.

The webinar will take place on 25 January 2022 from 15:00 to 17:00 (Brussels time) and will be organised in two parts.

In the first part, Lucio Gonzalez Jimenez from SGS Brightsight CyberLab and MJ Shoer from CompTIA will give a training on:

  • Strategies of cybercriminals to attack companies;
  • Methods through which SMEs can protect themselves from cyber risks; and
  • Aspects to consider in creating cyber-secure products and services.

In the second part of the webinar, there will be an opportunity for SMEs to share their experiences and formulate recommendations on which tools or policy measures they would need from policymakers in the EU and U.S. to become more cyber resilient.

The webinar will be held on the platform Interactio offering the possibility of following the event in seven languages, namely English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Polish, and Romanian.

While the training will be recorded and made available for public use after the meeting, the discussion will not be made available.

There will be space for 750 participants. All confirmed participants will receive a link to the meeting. All non-confirmed participants will be able to access the recording after the meeting.
