New EDC 3.1 release is live

The latest release of the European Digital Credentials for Learning infrastructure (EDC 3.1) is now live and will be available as open-source on code.europa in the coming weeks.

This release brings continued performance improvements, alongside the introduction of the ordering feature which has been one of the most requested enhancements by EDC implementers.

In addition, updates have been made to the EDC Issuer and Viewer landing pages to improve clarity and usability. The release also resolves previous limitations related to batch credential uploads and addresses other smaller issues. We look forward to receiving your feedback on these new developments, and the EDC infrastructure in general, via our ongoing implementation survey

A full overview of all changes is available in the attached release note.

Please note that technical support on the open-source package is becoming more limited. Thank you for making use of the community feature in Futurium for your questions.

We also invite you to read more about the latest developments to the ELM, on which the new EDC ordering feature is built and which will also serve as the basis for several exciting future EDC improvements.
