This online information session focuses on the call ‘PPPA-2026-CITIZEN-PLATFORM-TV– Citizen facing European TV and Video News Portal for Streaming, Search and Translation of European TV and video news and political documentaries produced or transmitted by accredited public and private media in Member States’, which closes on 28 May 2026, at 17:00 CEST.
The call for proposals for the PPPA-2026-CITIZEN-PLATFORM is a grant for financial support under the Pilot Projects and Preparatory Actions (PPPA) framework.
This call aims to support the development of a citizen-facing European TV and video news portal for the streaming, search and translation of European news and political documentaries produced or transmitted by accredited public and private media in EU Member States.
The call targets media organisations, broadcasters, online news and content platforms, AI technology companies, content creators, creative partners, AI Factories, and legal or rights-management organisations.
It will fund 1 project with a maximum EU contribution of €5.5 million, with a funding rate of up to 80% of eligible costs, over a duration of up to 24 months. Proposals must be submitted by a consortium of at least 5 independent entities from five different eligible countries.

Presentations of the information session held on 20 April will be made available. Questions and answers discussed during the session will be added to the Funding and Tenders webpage of the call for proposals.
