During the 30th edition of Beyond Borders: Breakfast Debate Series “Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) and Cross-Border Cooperation”, we will share two poll questions with the participants and we would very much like to hear your opinions!
The first question is the following:
What do you see as the main added value of CLLD in cross-border regions?
- Better alignment of local needs with EU/regional funding programmes
- Stronger cooperation between municipalities and local stakeholders across borders
- More bottom-up decision-making and community participation
- Improved delivery of small-scale, place-based projects
- Greater continuity of cooperation beyond individual funding periods
- Better coordination of development strategies across territorial borders
- Other (please specify)
Please let us know your opinion in the comments section below!

I believe that the main added value of CLLD is the result of (2) stronger cooperation between municipalities and local stakeholders across borders. Local communities have better understanding of their needs and usually have common understanding of problem solving in the area.
