This report, published earlier this year by Nordregio, a leading Nordic research institute with a focus on regional development, policy and planning, explores the consequences of Covid-19 on border communities in the Nordics. Finding that the situation that has unfolded due to the COVID-19 pandemic has exposed the limits of the Nordic co-operation. In this status report, Nordregio looks at the situation in border communities following the closing of the border, and what this may tell us about the state of Nordic co-operation – Vision 2030 for which includes integration.
