A joint webinar hosted by the UNICA (Unified Network for International Cancer Advancement) and EUCAIM (Cancer Image Europe) projects will explore how European collaboration is advancing the digital transformation of oncology through secure, interoperable and federated data infrastructures.
The session will introduce UNICA, an EU-funded project designed to extend the geographical reach of the European Cancer Imaging Initiative. UNICA links distributed repositories of de-identified cancer imaging and clinical data into a federated network, enabling hospitals to collaborate while maintaining data sovereignty.
The webinar will also cover the principles of Federated Learning, a privacy-by-design approach for training AI models without moving sensitive data, and the application of FAIR data practices.
